Green Reader is a sustainable printing press that collaborates with local restaurants to collect food waste. Through a chemical and emulsification process, they create all natural biodegradable pigments and paper.
Green Reader focuses on sustainability. Avid readers and paperback book lovers are conscious of how much forests are hurt by their passionate consumption of novels. Green Reader looks to solve this problem while minimizing eye strain by having a fully biodegradable selection of books for readers to enjoy. Green Reader collects fruit, vegetable, and starch waste from restaurants in order to create cellulose paper and all natural pigments that are durable enough to get a few read-throughs, but fine enough to be put into your garden after use and composted back into the earth.
